THE SYNAGOGUE |
Welcome to the young and
dynamic Abir Yaakob Congregation, located at the Sephardic Kehila
Centre, under the leadership of Haham Amram Assayag. The synagogue
and their congregations boast an energetic youth Minyan, supervised
Jewish Day
Care, Oneg Shabat programs.
Shabat and Yom
Tob services take place in the awe-inspiring main Sanctuary, which
can house over 800 participants. Weekday services are held in the
smaller sanctuary, better known as the Medrash.

THE
SEPHARDIC RABBINATE OF ONTARIO The primary purpose of
the Sephardic Rabbinate of Ontario, led by Chief Haham Amram Assayag,
is to serve as a unifying force between all the Sephardic synagogues
that exist in Ontario. The rabbinate provides the services of a
Bet Din assisting marriages, divorces, and arbitration in business
conflicts and issuing certificates of Jewishness and celibacy. The
Rabbinate also administers its own kashrut certification known as
KOS, Kashrut Ontario Sepharadim.
